CIMFR Recruitment 2026 for Security Officer Post

The Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CSIR-CIMFR), a constituent laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, has announced a recruitment notification for the post of Security Officer. This is a prestigious opportunity for Ex-Servicemen and personnel from Para-Military forces to serve in a security role at one of India’s premier scientific research institutes. The recruitment will be conducted through physical assessment and written examination. Interested candidates must apply offline before 02 February 2026.

2. Fill in all the details carefully and affix a recent passport-size photograph.
3. Attach self-attested copies of:
   • Discharge certificate / Service certificate
   • Proof of age and qualifications
   • Caste certificate (if applicable)
   • E-receipt of application fee (if applicable)
4. Send the completed application by Registered/Speed Post to:
   Administrative Officer, CSIR-CIMFR, Barwa Road, Dhanbad – 826015 (Jharkhand)
5. Envelope should be superscribed with:
   “Application for the Post of Security Officer – Advt No. CIMFR-01/2026”
6. Ensure the application reaches by 02 February 2026, 05:30 PM

Selection Process

• Physical & Personality Assessment Test: Qualifying in nature.
• Written Examination:
  • Paper I (Objective – Mental Ability): 100 marks, 90 mins, threshold: 30%
  • Paper II (Subjective): 100 marks, 2 hours, threshold: 35%
    • Topics: Report Writing, Comprehension, Security Regulations, General Awareness
• Final merit will be based on marks obtained in Paper II only.
