The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has announced Advertisement No. 06/2025 for the recruitment of 160 Assistant Public Prosecutor posts under the state government. Eligibility criteria and requirement

Applicants must be Indian citizens and meet the age and qualification criteria as of 1st August 2024. The minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum is 35 years. Age relaxations are applicable for SC/ST/BC/EWS and other categories as per Jharkhand government rules. Only candidates holding an LLB degree from a recognized university are eligible.

Education

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB). This educational qualification must be from a recognized university in India and should be completed before the last date of application.

Salary

The post offers a monthly remuneration in the Pay Matrix Level-7 ranging from ₹47,600 to ₹1,51,100 as per Jharkhand government rules.

Age Limit

The age limit is 21–35 years as on 01/08/2024. Reserved categories including SC, ST, BC, and EWS are eligible for relaxation as per government norms.

Application Fee

General, BC, and EWS candidates must pay ₹600, while SC/ST candidates from Jharkhand need to pay ₹150. The fee should be paid online using credit/debit cards, net banking, or UPI. The payment deadline is 22nd July 2025.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of a Preliminary Written Examination, followed by a Mains Written Examination and a Personal Interview. Candidates who qualify will undergo document verification and medical examination before final appointment.
